Describe your internship responsibilities:

I was involved with research in the Meat Research group supporting the Oscar Mayer Division. My responsibilities included designing experiments to adequately address the project's objective, establishing the project's timeline, planning and executing benchtop, pilot plant and/or plant tests as needed, collecting and analyzing data and writing a final report. A poster session and oral presentation was also given.

What did you enjoy most about this internship?
This internship afforded me the opportunity to gain perspective on working in an industrial research setting versus an academic research setting. As a result, I now have a better understanding of the operations of Kraft as a company.

How has this experience impacted your future career plans?
I now have a better perspective on what it is like to work in industry.

What resources did you utilize to obtain this internship?
The College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Career Fair allowed me to be in contact with the Kraft Foods representative(s) who regularly attends the event.

What advice would you offer to other students seeking similar internships?
I would strongly encourage anyone interested in obtaining a similar internship to attend the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Career Fair. The opportunities there are endless!
