Title and Company:
Sales Representative, Swine Products at Elanco Animal Health
Hometown:
Waverly, IA
Major and Graduation Date:
Agricultural Business, Economics, and International Agriculture, May 2004
Major Job/Position Responsibilities:

I manage a sales territory in the swine division for Elanco. I call on swine production systems, veterinary clinics, and feed companies, sharing information and delivering the value of our products. I help customers solve problems in health and production efficiency, and ultimately help to improve profitability in their business. I educate customers on new technology and provide research data to support their decisions.

What you like most about your job/position:

I really have a passion for working with people and finding ways to improve their business. I enjoy working in the ag sector and helping livestock production. I like that I run my own schedule and am responsible for managing my own territory. Elanco is a solid company with many great people to work with.

What advice would you give to current students:

Take the time to explore different jobs to determine what you have a passion for in life. Then, find a career that encompasses that so you can enjoy what you do and the people you work with. Hard work pays off, so make the most of your time while at Iowa State.

Favorite ISU class

Introduction to Agricultural Marketing with Dr. Lawrence. It was a hands-on class where we bought and sold livestock, dealing with daily news that impacts the markets. It was fun, challenging, and provided real-world experience.
