Major Job/Position Responsibilities:

As the learning development specialist, I use adult learning techniques to create instructional materials that connect with learners, contribute to the success of Johnsonville teams by diagnosing development needs, partnering with leaders and gaining commitment on solutions, deliver learning solutions that take learners down the path of skill and competency development, and passionately seek out ways to improve the effectiveness of programs, courses, and learning experiences.

What you like most about your job/position:

I have the opportunity to work creatively to meet the needs of Johnsonville's members (employees) and work with them to achieve their goals related to their career, education, and health. We have an amazing culture at Johnsonville to become the best company in the world through integrity, teamwork, continuous learning, innovation and commitment. The best part is that they not only "talk the talk," but they "walk the walk!"

What advice would you give to current students:

Gain an understanding of your strengths. These are things that you're not only good at, but really enjoy. By focusing on your strengths, you will be able to grow and learn even more in both your personal and professional life, because you will be energized and love the time you are spending on it. Go out and try new things and put yourself in challenging situations - classes, activities, internships, etc. - and you will learn so much about yourself!
