As a Branded Dealer Manager at SFP, I work with our exclusive retail customers in Nebraska, the Dakotas, Montana, Minnesota, and Missouri to create brand awareness and provide marketing support for our three products: AVAIL® Phosphorus Fertilizer Enhancer, NutriSphere-N® Nitrogen Fertilizer Manager, and More Than Manure® Nutrient Manager in their areas. Together, we develop customized marketing efforts including collateral materials, merchandise, radio and TV spots, as well as social media.
I like working with our regional managers and our dealers on a daily basis by phone and email; but I really enjoy visiting them in person for meetings, field days, appreciation dinners, annual meetings, etc. Another favorite part of my job is visiting with growers at farm shows or field days about their operation and how our products can help them be more efficient with their fertilizer.
Don’t be afraid to network and get to know your peers, professors, and professionals in our industry. You never know where one contact could lead you down the road; somebody you meet today could be your future boss, colleague, customer, or business partner. Lastly, always greet people with a smile!
