Northwest Ag Systems, Inc

My name is Steve Jochum, and I am looking for students to work full time or part time during the 2019 fall manure application season. Employment could start immediately and work at the shop in Boone. We also do our own maintenance and metal fabrication(welding, bandsaw, plasma table, iron worker etc.) while working in the shop. Northwest Ag runs drag hose manure application equipment. We do not have any manure tanks. The manure is pumped directly from the pit/lagoon to the field through hoses and injected by the application tractor.

Jobs would include: driving tractors, hooking up PTO shafts, agitation of manure pit, pump operator, and assisting with various tasks. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have valid driver’s license.  CDL not necessary, but doesn’t hurt to have.

Please email resume and class schedule to me if you are interested in interviewing. If you have weekends available, 3 day weekends, or a full day off during the week to work that would help. Also, an ag background, experience in metal fabrication, CDL, or mechanic abilities are helpful. Posted 7/23/2019

Performance Livestock Analytics

Performance Livestock Analytics is a premier agritech company based in Ames, Iowa. Our mission is simple: “Our innovative solutions connect the livestock industry, empowering data-driven decisions”.

At PLA, excellence is an expectation, people are a priority and culture is crucial. We build our team like an engineer builds code or a nutritionist builds rations: carefully selecting each part so as to strengthen the whole. We are energetic. We are idea-driven. We are transparent. Our culture stretches beyond headquarters and into the home offices of our remote team members.

A career with PLA is impactful and it’s fun. We like being here. We think you might too.

Performance Livestock Analytics is in the hunt for high-quality interns to join our team. Interns work with our Customer Success and Inside Sales Teams, where they learn the ins and outs of our feedlot management software, Performance Beef, and our auction advisor software, Cattle Krush.

We are located just south of campus at the ISU Research Park. Interns need to provide their own transportation, work 20 hours per week during the school year and come with a hunger to learn. Preference will be given to upper-classmen, as PLA has a great track record of turning motivated and self-driven interns into full-time employees.  Posted 8/12/19
